Good to know
- A 60 lb bag yields ~0.45 cu ft; an 80 lb bag yields ~0.6 cu ft of mixed concrete.
- Order ready-mix by the cubic yard for slabs above ~1 cu yd — bagged mix gets expensive fast.

FAQ
Common questions
How many bags of concrete are in a cubic yard?
About 60 bags of 60 lb mix or 45 bags of 80 lb mix make up one cubic yard. For anything over a cubic yard, ready-mix delivery is usually cheaper and faster.
How much extra concrete should I order?
Add roughly 5–10% for spillage, uneven subgrade, and over-excavation. This calculator includes a waste allowance you can adjust.
