Common questions
How many drywall sheets do I need?
Divide total wall and ceiling area (plus ~10% waste) by the sheet area — 32 sq ft for 4×8, 40 for 4×10, 48 for 4×12. This tool does it for you.
How much joint compound per sheet?
Plan on roughly 4.5 lbs of all-purpose compound and ~12 ft of tape per 4×8 sheet for taping, two coats, and finishing.
